  • Provide usage statistics for your blocked apps

  • Local processing: Usage data used by app logic is handled on-device.

3. Accessibility Service Usage

The app requires Accessibility Service permission solely for these technical functions:

  • Detect when apps are launched (app identification only).
  • Prevent usage of blocked apps when they are opened.

Important limitations:

  • No content access: We do not read messages, emails, passwords, or any in‑app content.
  • No keystroke logging: We never record keyboard input.
  • No screen recording: We do not capture your screen.
  • Purpose-limited use: Accessibility is used only for app-blocking functionality.

4. Billing Permission

The com.android.vending.BILLING permission is used exclusively for:

  • Processing in‑app purchases and subscriptions through Google Play's secure billing system.
  • Verifying purchase status to unlock premium features.

  • No payment details access: All transactions are processed by Google Play; we never see or store your payment information.
  • Minimal data: We only receive purchase status/confirmation from Google Play.

5. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of Limitly displays banner ads using Google AdMob. The Pro version does not show ads.

  • What may be processed: device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, and ad interaction/performance signals.
  • Purpose: ad delivery, fraud prevention, and ad performance measurement.
  • Control: You can use the Pro version to remove ads.

6. SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW Permission

This permission is used exclusively to:

  • Display the blocking interface when restricted apps are launched.

Security assurance: The overlay is used only to enforce app restrictions and cannot extract content from other apps.

7. Data Storage and Retention

The app maintains strict data handling practices:

  • Storage method: Android local storage on your device.
  • Data types stored:
    • Your blocklist (app package names only).
    • Your blocking schedules and configuration preferences.
  • Automatic deletion: All app data is erased when you uninstall the app.
